These Regulations concern national performance trails as specified by section 9 of the Seeds and Plants Varieties Act and the approval and release of qualifying varieties. The Regulations establish the National Performance Trails Committee and the National Variety Release Committee. The Regulations require a person to submit varieties of crops listed in the second Schedule to these Regulations to performance trails in accordance with these Regulations. The Regulations provide for: application for performance trails, supervision of performance trails of the National Performance Trails Committee, approval and release by the National Variety Release Committee, recording of trails and appeals.
