This Act amends the Madhya Pradesh Agricultural Cattle Preservation Act, 1959. Amendments include: insertion of the definition of “export”; substitution of the words “agricultural cattle” with the words “agricultural cattle other than cow or calf of cow”; insertion of new sections 6-A, 6-B and 6-C providing for restrictions on the export of cows, etc., export permits and for special export permits; substitution of the heading of section 9 with a new heading “Power of entry, search and seizure” and insertion of two new sub-sections dealing with the entry, search and seizure of vehicles used for the export of cows or calves of cows; and minor changes to sections 10, 17 and 18.
