Proclamation No. 442 declaring the Samar Island Forest Reserve as a protected area and its peripheral areas as buffer zones.

This Proclamation declares the Samar Island Forest Reserve established under Presidential Proclamation No. 744, situated in the Municipalities specified in the text, as a protected area and its peripheral areas as buffer zones pursuant to Republic Act No. 7586 (NIPAS Act of 1992), and shall be known as the Samar Island Natural Park (SINP). The SINP and its buffer zones shall be under the administrative jurisdiction of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources through the Protected Area Management Board.
