Jersey Potato Export Marketing Scheme 2001 (Approval) (Jersey) Act 2001.

This Act approves the Jersey Potato Export Marketing Scheme 2001. The Scheme is made pursuant to Article 2(6) of the Agricultural Marketing (Jersey) Law 1953 and provides an administrative and regulatory framework for the marketing and exportation of potatoes. The Jersey Potato Export Marketing Board is established for purposes of managing the Scheme and for administration and control of the fund established under the Scheme. The Board may enter into a marketing agreement with any registered producer and a managing agreement with a marketing organization. A marketing agreement will allow a producer to export potatoes. The Scheme provides for arbitration to which decisions of the Board may be submitted. The Schedule sets out minimum terms of a marketing agreement or a management agreement.
