This Ordinance provides a statutory framework for the assessment of environmental impacts of designated projects listed in Schedules 2 and 3 and provides for the implementation of prevention and mitigation measures to protect the environment. The Ordinance sets out requirements and procedures for obtaining an environmental permit in order to operate a designated project. The Ordinance further provides for: maintenance of a register; issuance of technical memorandums; appeals; offences and penalties; etc.
