This Declaration is an emergency disease and quarantine declaration. Urgent action is needed to meet a significant threat to fisheries resources because of the presence of the relevant declared disease, and to meet a significant threat of illness to persons taking or eating potentially affected fish. The Declaration identifies quarantine areas and restricts the taking or possession of fish and the use of fishing apparatus.
