This Protocol sets out the fishing opportunities that shall apply for a period of three years under the Fisheries Partnership Agreement between the European Community and the Republic of Mozambique. Related financial contribution and methods of payment are established as well. Further it provides for the adoption of a multiannual sectoral programme aimed at promoting responsible fishing and sustainable fisheries in Mozambique’ waters. The Annex to the Protocol lays down the conditions for the exercise of fishing activities by European Union vessels in the fishing zone of Mozambique. Specific rules are set out as regards tuna fishing authorizations.
