The present Act implements the Council Regulation (EC) No. 2173/2005 on the establishment of a FLEGT licensing scheme for imports of timber into the European Community of 20 December 2005. Article 1 establishes that the Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food is entrusted with the enforcement of the afore-mentioned Council Regulation.
