This Law, consisting of 7 articles, creates the reforestation Programme for the Brazilian Pine Tree (Araucaria angustifolia) within the State of Santa Catarina. This Programme aims at guaranteeing the perpetuation of this tree species, promoting its conservation. Land owners of Araucaria angustifolia, located outside of the promoted Preservation Area APP, may promote tree exploitation through reforestation which must follow specific requirements.
