This Law, consisting of 6 Chapters, creates the State Policy for Technical Assistance and Agro-Forestry Extension for Rural Family Farming Production (PEATER) which will be under the competence of the State Secretariat for Agro-Forestry Extension and Household Production (SEAPROF). PEATER has the following principles: rural sustainable development, according to a rational use of natural resources and environmental preservation; free access to quality technical assistance and rural extension; adoption of participatory approach, with holistic perspective, adoption principles of ecological agriculture as a basis for the development of sustainable development systems; gender age and ethic equity and contribute to a State food security.
