This Decree, consisting of 3 articles, regulates wild fauna protection within the State of Goiás. It specifies that the competent authorities to apply protecting measures to wild fauna are the Secretariat for Environment and Water Resources, who is responsible to: establish special programmes to install specific conservation units, aiming at guaranteeing wild fauna protection and carry out scientific research; disseminate the list of endangered wild fauna species, etc. The Environmental Agency of Goiás entitled to: issue authorization and give technical assessment as requested by Law No. 14.241; exceptionally authorize the capture or the collection of wild fauna in order to start wild animal repopulation within breeder for conservation purpose, including for commercial purpose, etc.
