The present Ordinance implements articles 45 of the Federal Nature Protection Act of 6 February 2012 (BGBl. I p. 148). Article 1 establishes that contrary to article 44 of the afore-mentioned Act - in the context of scientific investigations carried out by internationally recognzed Bird Ringing Centres, it shall be authorized to catch wild birds for subsequent marking , and in particular ringing.
