The scope of this Regional Law shall be regulation of the relations in the sphere of agricultural development with a view of sustainable development thereof. The principal tasks of the regional agrarian policy shall be as follows: (a) improvement of competitiveness of the regional agricultural commodities and the regional producers thereof; (b) stable and sustainable development of rural areas; (c) conservation and reproduction of natural resources required for agricultural production; and (d) control of agricultural commodities price indices. The main directions of the regional agrarian policy shall be as follows: (a) stable provision of the population with the national agricultural commodities; (b) support of agricultural producers; (c) stable development of rural areas; and (d) improvement of training of specialists for agriculture.
