This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of environmental protection against ecological risks, including protection of natural resources, prevention of negative environmental impact of economic activities, and ensuring environmental security with a view of protection of public health in the interests of the current and future generations. Ensuring environmental security shall be intended a system of arrangement for the prevention of the outbreak of disasters, mitigation of the consequences thereof and protection of natural environment against negative impact. Ensuring environmental security shall be regional priority. Regional environmental security indices shall be adopted in order to ensure environmental security.
