This Regional Legislative Decree amends and re-publishes the Statute of the Agency for Environmental Management and Conservation of Nature, AZORINA S.A. Amendments deal with administrative and legal proceedings, the main objectives of the above mentioned Agency related to the promotion of actions concerning environmental management and natural resources conservation, including environmental matters, data dissemination and implementation of special development plans of the territory around the Azores’ archipelago, including purchase, sale, exchange and property land expropriation for public utility located in the areas of intervention of the respective approved plans, as well as the development and implementation of a strategy for the promotion, dissemination and marketing of forests of the Azores or under its jurisdiction.
