This Regional Law sets forth the basic tasks of the regional veterinary practice, including implementation of arrangements for prevention of the outbreak of infectious and other animal diseases, mitigation of the consequences thereof, veterinary servicing of stockbreeding, training of veterinary staff and protection of the regional territory against introduction of animal diseases. Regional bodies shall perform the following functions: (a) application and cancellation of quarantine on the regional territory; (b) protection of the regional population against diseases common to animals and human beings; and (c) registration of veterinary experts and staff. It also establishes the modalities of keeping, feeding, watering, transportation livestock or cattle drive.
