This Presidential Order, consisting of 7 articles, creates the Requalification Steering Committee of the Island and Forests of Luanda. It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Steering Committee, coordinated by the Minister of State and Chief of Staff of the President, entitled to: prepare the Governing Plan of Rehabilitation aiming at the process of rehabilitation of the Island and Forests of Luanda, in accordance with environmental legislation, the architectural and landscape universal standards for residential and tourist area; to ensure technical and methodological coordination between the stakeholders involved in the implementation of different projects of rehabilitation of the Island and Forests of Luanda; to analyse and monitor the implementation of all related projects; to propose solutions to ensure the development of narrow territorial space in harmony with the resident population; to propose solutions for conflicts between the various institutions involved in the process of rehabilitation; to harmonise with the institutions involved in the rehabilitation process the implementation of energy projects, water, sanitation and the construction of other tourism related structures, etc.
