This Law regulates the legal status of mineral resources and raw mineral materials, methods and conditions of their exploration and exploitation, environmental issues and requirements, mining works and related activities, health and safety measures, technical documentation mining plans and authorizations, inspection provisions, protection and development of the mining sector, and various other issues regarding the management of mineral resources. As defined by this Law, the mineral wealth is a good of general interest and is under special protection of the State administration and its responsible bodies. The Law is divided into XI Chapters and 123 articles, including all offences and related penalties.
