This Regulation defines the requirements in terms to be met by edible oils and fats of vegetable origin, margarine, mayonnaise, and related products in terms of their classification, official denomination, physical, chemical, and organoleptic characteristics (sensory characteristics), and composition (type and quantity of raw materials, additives and other substances used in production and processing) of food in terms of quality and safety. The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
