The purpose of these Interim Provisions is to strengthen the administration of work safety at food production enterprises. The Provisions consist of 30 Articles divided into 6 Chapters: General Provisions; Basic Requirements for Work Safety; Safety Management of Operation Process; Supervision and Administration; Legal Liabilities; Supplementary Provisions. Food production enterprises shall strictly comply with the relevant work safety laws, administrative regulations and national standards, industry standards and provisions, establish and improve the work safety responsibility system and the rules for safe operation. Article 17 provides for the requirements to be satisfied by food production enterprises involving production, storage and use of hazardous chemicals. A food production enterprise, of which intermediate products are hazardous chemicals, shall obtain a license for work safety of hazardous chemicals.
