This Regulation sets the necessary phytosanitary measures (also sampling, inspection and concrete hygiene-sanitary issues) for the prevention of introduction, spread, and also aimed to suppress the harmful organism mosaic virus pepina-Pepino mosaic virus that spreads through thw seeds of tomatoes (Lycopersicon lycopersicum (L.) Karsten ex Farw). This text transposes the rules contained in the Commission Decision of 27 February 2004 on measures to prevent the introduction into and the spread within the Community of Pepino mosaic virus.
