This Law, consisting of 13 articles, establishes the State Programme for Sustainable Rural Development and creates the Special State Support Fund Programme for Sustainable Rural Development. The objective of this State Programme is to implement public policies for sustainable rural development aimed at improving the quality of life in rural areas. These actions include assistance, training and promotion of productive and infrastructure projects, in order to disseminate sustainable practices, improving water supply, environmental suitability of rural properties and communities as well as the conservation of water and soil resources.
