This Regulation defines the food sampling methods aimed to determine the effective level of residues of plant protection products (performed in order to verify the necessary compliance with maximum levels of pesticide residues). This text transposes the rules contained in the Commission Directive 2002/63/EC of 11 July 2002 laying down Community methods of sampling for the official control of pesticide residues in and on products of plant and animal origin and the abrogation of Directive 79/700/EEC. The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
