This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of agricultural development, agro-industrial complex and sustainable development of rural areas. Basic purposes of regional state policy shall be as follows: (a) development of efficient agricultural production; (b) improvement of competitiveness of agricultural commodities; (c) sustainable development of rural areas; (d) conservation of natural resources used for agricultural production; (e) formation of the functioning market of agricultural commodities, foodstuffs and raw materials with a view of raising income of agricultural producers; and (f) creation of favorable conditions for investments in agriculture.
