This Regulation hereby defines the terms and contents of the National protection procedure called/denominated as Protected designation of origin (PDO), including the Protected geographical indication (PGI) and Traditional specialty guaranteed (JTS) all related to agricultural or food products; further defining various administrative forms, responsibilities of the competent bodies, deadlines, contents and manner of keeping records. This text transposes and respects the provisions contained in the following documents: Regulation (EU) no. 1151/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 November 2012 on quality systems for agricultural products and foodstuffs; and Implementing Regulation (EU) no. 668/2014 of 13 July 2014 laying down the rules for the application of Regulation (EU) no. 1151/2012. The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
