The purpose of these Measures is to regulate the ex-post supervision of environmental administrative law enforcement and improve the efficiency of environmental administrative law enforcement. The Measures consist of 14 Articles. The term “ex-post supervision of environmental administrative law enforcement” as used in these Measures refers to the administrative measures taken by the competent environmental protection authorities for the purpose of supervising and inspecting the execution of such specific administrative acts as environmental administrative punishments and administrative orders. The competent environmental protection authorities at or above the county level shall conduct an ex-post supervision of environmental law enforcement within 60 days after the expiration of the time limit for execution of a specific administrative act such as environmental administrative punishment or administrative order.
