The purpose of this Agreement is to protect the well-being of the people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, enhance the safety of nuclear power operation, strengthen the transparency of nuclear power safety information, and promote cross-strait nuclear power safety information and experience exchange. The both sides agreed to cooperate in the following aspects: nuclear power safety regulations and standards, experience in nuclear safety analysis and review, nuclear power safety supervision methods and experience, basic information on nuclear power plants, safety assessment of nuclear safety incidents, etc.
