This Resolution, consisting of 12 articles, creates the Working Team for the formulation of the National Strategy for Disaster Risk Reduction (ENRRD). It establishes composition, duties and competencies of the above mentioned Working Team aiming to support the government in the formulation of this strategy, to mobilize all partners and sectors cooperating in the reflection and proposal of the most efficient strategic policy framework for the disaster risks reduction, taking into account that Cape Verde is an archipelago vulnerable to extreme weather conditions and risks of disasters such as: floods, droughts, landslides, forest fires, coastal erosion, hurricanes, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
