Regional state nature reserve “Karst lake” shall be constituted with a view of protection and management of vulnerable karts landscapes: hydrological systems of karst lakes, water protection functions of forest biocenosis, conservation of biological diversity, objects of cultural heritage and regulation of tourism and recreation of karst landscapes. Regional state nature reserve “Karst lake” shall perform the following functions: (a) water protection; (b) conservation of biological diversity; (c) scientific research; and (d) recreation. The following activities shall be prohibited: (a) timber extraction and harvesting of non-timber forest products; (b) exploration and mining; (c) ploughing up; (d) use and storage of pesticides and other toxic chemicals; (e) waste (including radioactive waste) disposal; (f) burning of vegetation; and (g) introduction and release of alien species.
