Regional state nature biological reserve “Tundrovy” shall be constituted for an indefinite time period with a view of protection of migratory bird species on plots of protection forest of regional significance. It shall perform the following functions: (a) conservation of natural ecosystems; (b) protection of nesting and resting grounds of migratory waterfowl and other migratory bird species; (c) conservation and protection of rare and endangered wild fauna and wild flora species and natural habitats thereof; (d) protection of traditional natural habitat of wild reindeer; (e) protection of precious game, i.e. wild fauna species and birds, including migratory routes and traditional habitats thereof; and (f) conservation and protection of traditional forest areas, taiga and tundra landscapes. The following activities shall be prohibited: (a) ploughing up; (b) resin tapping, haymaking, passage and grazing of cattle; (c) commercial hunting and all types of hunting of rare and endangered species; (d) lease of forest for any type of activity except for recreation; (e) any type of felling, except for sanitary felling, and timber extraction; and (f) collection of eggs and destruction of nests and burrows.
