The Parties have agreed to cooperate in the sphere of risk management in the area of sanitary and phytosanitary measures, recognizing the necessity to apply high-quality standards in risk management in the area of sanitary and phytosanitary measures. In order to stimulate the development of export-oriented production, Switzerland provides support in this sphere. The Parties will establish a program of assistance that complements the already implemented EU program, which will include assistance in selective learning, transfer of know-how and, within a limited framework, laboratory equipment. In the sphere of ecology and quality control in enology Switzerland is committed to promote Ukraine's integration into the multilateral trading system by providing support in the sphere of viticulture to facilitate the transition of producers to ecofriendly and ecologically complying production methods. Switzerland will help to increase the technical standards of the Ukraine in the selection and testing of varieties of grapes and will cooperate in order to increase the environmental effectiveness of pesticide use. This Program will also provide technical support and training on its use. Steering Committee will be set up, composed of representatives of both Parties, in order to discuss and review the progress of implementation of this Memorandum.
