These Regulations, consisting of 18 Articles, are enacted in accordance with the Water Act. The Groundwater Control Zones to which these Regulations apply shall be delineated by the Central Competent Authority, considering the stratum subsidence, groundwater level changes, geological conditions and other related factors. The Groundwater Control Zones are divided into first and second level. The Regulations further provide for control measure for zoning procedures, well drilling, water registration, etc.
