By the Decree No. 2017/10681 of the Council of Ministers of 3 July 2017, the Protocol on technical, scientific and economic cooperation in the field of agriculture between the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry of the Senegal Republic has been approved. The Parties agree upon cooperation in the fields of agricultural policies, plant production, plant protection, animal husbandry, animal health, agricultural research and extension, food industry, fisheries, rural development and rural affairs. The Parties shall develop cooperation by exchange of scientific and technical information, research results, plant and animal genetic resources, and of experts in the related fields, as well as by carrying out joint studies. The Parties may organize training programs, seminars, conferences and meetings. An Agricultural Steering Committee shall be established. This Protocol shall be valid for five years and may be extended for successive periods of five years with termination rights requiring six months written notice.
