These Measures aim to standardize the review and approval of major forest tree varieties. The State Forestry Administration shall set up the National Forest Tree Variety Approval Committee to undertake the variety approval work of forest tree species for promotion in suitable ecological regions throughout the country. The Measures further provide for the conditions for the grant of, and the application for, the examination, approval of major forest tree varieties.
