By the Decree No. 2018/11569 of the Council of Ministers of 26 March 2018, the Implementation Programme to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of Republic of Poland on cooperation in the fields of science, education and culture for 2017 – 2020 has been approved. The Parties agree upon cooperation in the field of protection of cultural and historical heritage in accordance with the relevant conventions and programmes of UNESCO and the Council of Europe, by compiling an inventory of the Turkish and Polish movable and immovable national and cultural heritage in both countries and by supporting cooperation in the field of archaeology, museology and restoration of national and cultural heritage. Furthermore cultural centres will be established on a reciprocal basis. In the fields of science and education, the Parties shall support direct cooperation between higher education and scientific research institutions of both countries by conducting joint scientific research, exchanging employees to conduct academic courses and to participate in congresses and seminars, exchanging students, academic staff, scientists and researchers, and by exchange of information and scientific publications. The Parties shall support the exchanges and cooperation of youth from both countries by way of projects carried out under youth programmes carried out by EU, public institutions and non-governmental organizations.
