This Law regulates the procedure for issuing, granting, accepting meal coupons and reimbursement of their value, the status of operators, as well as the relationships of operators, employers and trade enterprises/catering enterprises. Meal coupon is a coupon issued in accordance with this Law by the operator, which is provided by the employer to employees for use as a payment instrument for the purpose of purchasing food products in trade enterprises/catering enterprises that have concluded an agreement with the operator for the provision of services. The employer has the right to provide employees with an individual food allowance in the form of meal coupons, paying the operator their full nominal value. Meal coupons can only be used by retailers/catering companies that have concluded a service agreement with the operator. Operators in the sphere of meal coupons shall be subject to mandatory licensing.
