This Regulation regulates the presence of vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) and limits of its transfer from materials and products made with polymers or copolymers of vinyl chloride, which in ready-made form is in contact with food products or intended for contact with food products, as well as a method for determining the content of vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) in materials and products, as provided in the annex to this Regulation. The maximum content of vinyl chloride monomer in materials and products is one milligram per kilogram (1 mg / kg) in the final product. Annex 1 contains the method of analysis for official control of the content of vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) in materials and products contacting with food.
