This Code is enacted to further improve the the system of tidal flat planning in aquaculture waters, and scientifically delimit prohibited aquaculture areas, restricted aquaculture areas and aquaculture areas. The text consists of 7 Sections. It is forbidden to carry out aquaculture in key ecological functional areas such as first-grade protected areas of drinking water sources, core areas and buffer zones of nature reserves, core areas of national-level aquatic germplasm resources conservation areas. It is restricted to carry out aquaculture ecological functional areas such as second-grade protected areas of drinking water sources, experimental areas and peripheral protected areas of nature reserves, experimental areas of national-level aquatic germplasm resources conservation areas, scenic spots. If aquaculture is carried out in the above areas of ecological functional areas, pollution prevention measures shall be taken for aquaculture, and pollutant discharges shall not exceed national and local standards for pollutant discharge. In aquaculture areas, the breeding density should be scientifically determined, the bait should be properly used, and the drugs should be used reasonably to prevent environmental pollution of the waters. The aquaculture production should meet the relevant requirements of the “Regulations on the Quality and Safety Management of Aquaculture”.
