These Guidelines, consisting of 4 Sections, are enacted to assist eel farmers so as to improve the hygienic quality of eels and construct the excellent aquaculture farms. Application for farm registration shall comply with the provisions as prescribed in Section 2, including: (1) Aquaculture farms shall regularly monitor the quality of aquaculture water, which shall conform to the water quality standards for aquatic products in the Classification and Standards of Surface Water Bodies and Water Quality stipulated by the Environmental Protection Department of the Executive Yuan. (2) The use of feed for aquaculture in aquaculture farms shall comply with the provisions of the Feed Management Act. (3) The use of aquaculture medicines in aquaculture farms shall comply with the provisions of the "Guidelines for the Use of Aquatic Animal Drugs" . (4) Aquaculture farms shall cooperate with the regular or irregular inspection and monitoring of drug residues, diseases and water quality carried out by the the Council of Agriculture.
