This Resolution of the Western Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC), taken in in accordance to articles 5, 10, 12, and 13 of the WCPFC Convention, aims at strengthening WCPFC efforts to make available sound scientific advice and information and to promote the scientific collaboration between WCPFC's Scientific Committee, the International Scientific Committee for Tuna and Tuna-like Species in the North Pacific Ocean (ISC) IATTC and the Oceanic Fisheries Programme of the Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC-OFP). The Resolution builds on the deliberations and recommendations of the Kobe process (joint tuna regional fisheries management organization process).
