These Measures are formulated in accordance with the Regulation on the Prevention and Control of Geologic Disasters. The Regulations consist of 28 Articles divided into 5 Chapters: General Provisions; Submission of Geological Data; Storage and Use of Geological Data; Legal Liabilities; Supplementary Provisions. The Ministry of Land and Resources may entrust relevant geological data storage units to keep the following geological data: (1) Geological data of radioactive minerals; (2) Primitive geological data and physical geological data of oil and natural gas; (3) Primitive polar and marine geological data and physical geological data; etc. Article 18 provides for the requirements to be met by such geological data storage units.
