These Provisions are enacted to standardize the work of ecological environmental protection inspection and supervision. The Provisions consist of 42 Articles divided into 6 Chapters: General provisions; Organizations and personnel; Units subject to inspection and supervision and content of inspection and supervision; Inspection procedures and authorities; Disciplines and responsibilities; Supplementary provisions. The Central Leading Group for Ecological Environmental Protection Inspection and Supervision shall be established. The units subject to inspection and supervision include: (1) communist party committees and governments of the provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government; (2) Relevant departments of the State Council that undertake important ecological environmental protection duties; etc.
