This Act lays down rules for the imposition and collection of deposit levy for customs and excise duties. In accordance with this Act, the imposed deposit levy shall be levied on the entry of the product into the State or at point of production and collected by the Controller of Customs and Excise and this payment shall be enforced under the provisions of the Customs Act.
