Section 48(1) was inserted into the principal Act by the National Environmental Management: Protected Areas Amendment Act 2014. The Regulations set out general restrictions within the Marine Protected Area. Restrictions are placed on the entry and use of vessels in the zone. No fishing may take place in a Restricted Zone. All fishing gear shall be stowed as prescribed. A permit issued in terms of these Regulations may be suspended, cancelled or amended.
