This Administrative Regulation is enacted in accordance with the paragraph 5) of Article 50 of the Basic Law of the Macao Special Administrative Region. The Administrative Regulation stipulates the air pollutant emission standards that power plants must comply with and the requirements for continuous flue gas emission monitoring systems to reduce environmental pollution and protect residents' health. The Administrative Regulation also provides for measures for monitoring, inspection, offences and penalties, etc.
