This Regulation lays down provisions to set out the necessary provisions for the establishment and functioning of a Union renewable energy financing mechanism in order to support renewable energy deployment across the Union. Rules on the sources of funding the mechanism, implementation and forms of funding, contribution of the mechanism to the enabling framework, non-repayable support in the form of grants, and coordination of support are laid down in this Regulation.
