This Recommendation requires CPCs to implement measures to end overfishing of blue marlin as soon as possible and to rebuild blue marlin and white marlin/roundscale spearfish stocks to their respective BMSY levels. The measures concern annual fishing and landing limits, live release requirements, observer programmes, data collection and reporting. The measures also concern recreational and sport fishing.
