This Act lays down rules for encouraging foreign investment to enhance the economic, social, and cultural interests of its citizens. The economic sectors on the National Green List, including fishing in the Exclusive Economic Zone, are not subject to any special criteria for the issuance of a Foreign Investment Permit.
