This Governmental Decree establishes the procedure for determination of the boundaries of fishing areas, determined within the limits of defined area of waterbody or part thereof. Determination of the boundaries of fishing areas is carried out by the body of executive power of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation, taking into account the proposals of citizens, public associations, legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, associations of legal entities (associations and unions), municipalities, conclusions of a scientific organization, carrying out activities in the field of fishing and conservation of aquatic biological resources administered by the Federal Fisheries Agency. The boundaries of a fishing area are formed by consistent connecting points specified in geographic coordinates, by straight lines, except when the connection of such points is carried out along the coastline (boundaries of a waterbody). When connection of points along the coastline (boundaries of a waterbody), information of such connection is included in the description of the boundaries of the fishing area.
