The provisions of these guidelines describe and prescribe the procedures and rules that Member States shall enforce in the areas of control of imports and exports, movement and marketing, the opening and operation of manufacturing establishments, marketing and distribution of veterinary drugs and biological, retail and wholesale within the ECOWAS region. The provisions of these guidelines shall also apply to veterinary drugs and biologicals for testing, sales, donations or presented as raw materials for veterinary drugs and biologicals and medicinal premixes.
